When I think of all the things
I have ever wanted in this life
And how I wish they could all
Somehow come together
In one radiant burst of light,
When I try to picture that light
And just how to keep it burning bright,
I come to only one conclusion.
My sleep is done.
My wound has healed.
How wonderful to know my companion sleeps
While I gather my strength to feel the light.
That brilliant fire must be contained
But still be seen and its warmth felt.
I feel her presence in the gentle breeze
Blowing through the flowers and the leaves.
I hear her song in the trees by the water
She was planted in good soil
Her roots grow deep in my soul
When I comely stop and think:
Her soul comes from God
Her compassion comes in my dreams
My every wish has come true
My helpmate, my companion,
My better half
Mine to have and to hold
Why! That's my beloved.
My Jewel of the Nile
My LOVE
